Kybella® Pre & Post-Care Instructions
Great results depend on great care. Make sure you follow your instructions both before and after your treatment.
Pre-Care Instructions:
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 24 hours prior to treatment unless prescribed by your doctor.
- Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotions, or creams.
- Stay well-hydrated and avoid strenuous exercise the day before treatment.
- Please eat a light meal beforehand so you don't feel dizzy.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Apply a cool compress for short intervals during the first few hours to reduce swelling.
- Please don't touch, rub, or massage the treated area for at least 48 hours.
- Refrain from intense exercise, saunas, or heat exposure for 24–48 hours.
- Keep your head elevated while sleeping for the first night to minimize swelling.
- Use gentle skincare products and avoid harsh exfoliants or retinol for a few days.
- Mild numbness, firmness, or tenderness is normal and should resolve within 1–2 weeks.
