To ensure you achieve the best results from your gummy smile treatment, it’s important to follow these pre and post-care recommendations:
Pre-Care Instructions:
- It is advisable to avoid alcohol 24 hours before your appointment in order to minimize bruising.
- Refrain from blood-thinning medications or supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 24 hours prior, unless prescribed by your doctor.
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin, free from sunscreen and skincare products.
- Let your injector know about any Botox® treatments you've had recently.
Post-Care Instructions:
- Keep the treated area free from touch, massage, and pressure for at least 24 hours.
- Laying flat for 4 hours after treatment will prevent proper Botox® placement.
- Skip strenuous activity, saunas, and hot tubs for the rest of the day.
- Avoid excessive facial manipulation or dental work immediately after treatment.
- If mild swelling or redness occurs, it should resolve within a few hours.
